Rise AGAIN, My Phoenix!
Good, God! The embrace of unfettered space;
As the fingers begin once, anew!
The time has been long but the love has not gone,
I stretch once again to release!
So much has elapsed, so much has collapsed,
The time has so speedily passed.
Where, who knows the day, the angst, or the fray
Of what is or has not elapsed?
A decade ago I fraught to and fro
Of things, I thought I could be.
A poet, a bard, a stellar retard;
An alternate reality.
Today, I amass an alphabet class
Of odd mental realities.
The thoughts I'd put down now clutter the ground
Where yesterday's dreams used to be.
Yet, up from the ash! With no extra cash
I'm pulled by the fiery bird.
I'll not quell my quill, my mind, nor my will
I would that my words shall be heard!
So find a near seat 'pon rock or soft peat
And offer a smiling ear.
The words you may read, my finger-spawn seed
Are meant to draw my mind clear.
